Pastor’s Blog #7: The World Wide Wall Builders Network

In our last blog we talked about the “Watchmen”:

Isa. 62:6. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, 7. And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

We said that a watchman is a sentry or a guard. He is to stand on the wall and watch.

For what? The coming attacks of the enemy. When he sees them approaching he/she is to sound the trumpet alarm and warn the people.

But also, he is an intercessor or a “Remembrancer“. His/Her assignment is to constantly remind God of his promises day and night (24/7) and to never hold his peace (never stop) until God establishes these promises (for example: 2 Chronicles 7:14) and makes Jerusalem (A type of the Church) a praise in the earth. Two things are evident here: #1. One person or the Pastor cannot do this by himself. #2. It’s going to take 24 hour prayer to do this.

I also call these individuals Wall Builders and Gap Standers. God said in Ezekiel 22:30, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.” What an indictment! God could not find one individual in the whole country who would do it. The sentrys, the guards, the remembrances, the wall builders, and the gap standers are all gone and have just left their posts. No one is rebuilding the walls of protection or repairing the breaches or even guarding against the enemies that are approaching the land, the cities, the churches, or the people.

When I saw all this from the Word of God I knew we must have 24 hour prayer and intercession. This is what the Lord requires of us. And, I knew that 1 person could not possibly do this. Once we repair the walls, the gates of a city (Spiritually Speaking); all we need then are the sentrys or guards to “watch and pray”. But it will take many to do this.

For that reason, I invite you and extend to you an invitation to be a Wall Builder and a Gap Stander for the Land, the church, the city, the state, and the nation. I have in my mind to start an intercessory group of individuals from all over this planet to become part of the TCC Wall Builders Outreach. It is a Network of Believers from all nations who are connected through the Internet that want to be part of a World Changing Through Intercession Outreach.

In our church, I taught these things to the people and they have embraced it. They have seen that it is scriptural. We all want God to move but the 1st move is us. We can’t expect God to heal our land until we do our part according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. I asked them could they possibly take a slot of time (preferably an hour or at least 30 minutes) in a 24 hour period each day and hook up with us to intercede for the church, the land, the cities, our nation, and the world. I am convinced from scripture that this is the only way we are going to get things changed in this world. Like one great man said, “God is limited by our prayer life, he can do nothing for humanity unless someone ask him!” And, this is by His Design. We are all workers together with Him. He said to Solomon,“Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place”.

Perhaps after reading all this you may decide you want to embark on this great adventure and become a partner with us. There are individuals all over the world right now who have dedicated their entire lives to the ministry of intercession. All we are asking is that you pick a time slot or even multiple slots if you like, then, just let us know when they are and send us your email address. The internet will keep us in contact with each other so I can constantly stay in contact with you weekly or bi-weekly and let you know what are the things the Holy Spirit is directing us all to pray about. (Romans 8:26).

The Apostle Paul told Timothy, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions…..be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we (the church) may lead a quiet and peaceable life.”

We already have this series in English and Spanish. I intend to get it translated into French. I also will post the outline of each message so all pastors and teachers can train their people, also.
